Chief Operations Officer
As Union Square Hospitality Group’s Chief Operating Officer, Ron is responsible for driving strategic expansion among USHG’s existing businesses while overseeing the Departments of Business Development, Facilities Management, Construction, Catering, and Restaurant Operations. In alignment with this responsibility, Ron also oversees USHG’s Information Technology team, fostering an entrepreneurial approach to technology and a strong and solid infrastructure for healthy business growth.
Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Ron held key leadership positions with USHG for over 12 years, overseeing operations of USHG’s acclaimed restaurants at various levels of growth, and project managing complex business launches such as USHG’s multi-concept foodservice operation at the Museum of Modern Art. Most recently, Ron served for six years as Managing Partner at Union Square Events, USHG’s catering and venue hospitality business, during which time he led the company’s evolution from a single-focus catering operation to a multifaceted events and foodservice solutions business.
Prior to joining USHG, Ron was the Director of Operations for Restaurant Associates’s Sports & Entertainment division, overseeing the US Open, Indian Wells Tennis, and Breeders Cup Racing events. Born in Bedford, England, Ron still loves to travel the world in search of great food, amazing architecture, unfamiliar cultures, and idyllic beaches.
