Union Square Hospitality Group is committed to extending caring hospitality beyond the walls of our restaurants and into our communities.
Ever since we built our first home in Union Square, we’ve prioritized doing our part to contribute to the neighborhoods that support us, and helping make the world a better place.
We encourage our employees to become involved in their communities, and support their philanthropic initiatives. In addition to efforts by our employees and businesses, Union Square Hospitality Group as a whole has dedicated time and resources to supporting hunger relief initiatives and beautifying our urban environments, among many other causes. We are proud to partner with Share Our Strength, City Harvest, Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger, and local schools and educational programs.

A Few of Our Community Partners
Share Our Strength
We believe that no child should grow up hungry, and so we’ve partnered with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, which works to end childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day.
We support No Kid Hungry through two annual events, Taste of the Nation and the Autumn Harvest Dinner. Taste of the Nation is an amazing night of dining that supports No Kid Hungry by featuring food and drinks prepared by over 50 top chefs and bartenders. Each year our restaurants and chefs lend their hands and prepare food for this wonderful evening. Additionally, every fall we host the Autumn Harvest Dinner, a night of exquisite food and wine prepared by a group of chefs from across the world, like Grant Achatz, Daniel Boulud, David Chang, and Tom Colicchio. Since 2010 our participation in the Autumn Harvest Dinner has raised over 1.8 million dollars for Share Our Strength.

We make a living by nourishing and nurturing guests, so it only makes sense to feed people in our community who don’t have enough – which is why we’re proud to partner with the City Harvest food rescue network. Founded as the world’s first food rescue organization in 1982, each year City Harvest collects 55 million pounds of food from restaurants, grocers, bakeries, manufacturers and farms and delivers it to 500 community food programs across the city.
We have been a supporter for over 20 years, and since 2002 have raised over $400,000 for City Harvest by supporting their annual gala, serving on their Food Council, in addition to regularly donating food from our restaurants.

Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger
Our guests are also our partners in the fight against hunger, and their generosity has helped support the Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger. Starting in 2014, we began an annual May tradition of celebrating rosé season in Drink Pink, an event that highlights select rosés at each of our restaurants. We donate a portion of each glass or bottle of rosé our guests purchase to Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger – and raised $20,000 in 2015.
Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger started as a food pantry feeding local residents in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, and are now the largest pantry in Brooklyn, feeding over 30,000 New Yorkers each month.
