To that end, we’ve created some of New York City’s most beloved and celebrated restaurants: Union Square Cafe (soon to reopen in its new home at 19th St.), Gramercy Tavern, Blue Smoke, Jazz Standard, Shake Shack, The Modern, Cafe 2 and Terrace 5 (located at the Museum of Modern Art), Maialino, North End Grill, Marta, and Untitled and Studio Cafe. Each one offers outstanding food in unique environments, delivered with warmth and passion that delights our guests and returns them to us over and over again. And we’ve expanded beyond the walls of our restaurants, with Union Square Events and Hospitality Quotient, an organizational consulting business.
As a team, we’ve earned an unprecedented 26 James Beard Awards, as well as numerous other media accolades. Our family of restaurants has consistently appeared on Zagat’s Most Popular list, with Union Square Cafe and Gramercy Tavern having occupied the #1 spot fifteen times, collectively.
Our support for hunger relief organizations like City Harvest and Share Our Strength and civic organizations such as NYC & Company, Union Square Partnership, and the Madison Square Park Conservancy continue to play an important role in our organization and with our staff.
We strive to bring out the best in one another, turning our collective talent into consistent operational excellence. As a result, we have been able to nurture each other, our guests, our communities, our suppliers and our investors by creating meaningful, sustainable businesses.
